Beckerman was formerly the Head Of Production of Nebras Films, the first film studio in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh, Nebras Films produced feature films and TV series primarily shot within Saudi Arabia. Beckerman oversaw production, development, and financing for the company. Including the film Cherry from The Russo Brothers.
Additionally Beckerman is founder of Now Or Never Consulting, LLC which advises major media funds, government organizations, gaming companies, and tech startups in the entertainment sector. Formerly, Beckerman was the Founder and CEO of Natural Selection, a privately-held, equity-backed motion picture fund based in Los Angeles (backed by a Sovereign Wealth Fund). In addition, Beckerman is a critically acclaimed director, producer and writer of feature films.
Beckerman made his directorial debut with “ALIEN ABDUCTION” a Sci-Fi thriller based on the legend of the Brown Mountain Lights. It was released by IFC Midnight in Theaters on April 4, 2014. Lawrence Bender (Inglourious Basterds, Pulp Fiction) and Mike Fleiss (Hostel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Bachelor) and has built a cult following. Recently Beckerman directed “THE ROW,” which was theatrically released by Lionsgate in July 2018, and produced by EFO Films and MoviePass.
Beckerman began his entertainment business career from his freshman dorm room while attending AB Freeman School Of Business at Tulane University where he founded Now Or Never Records, Inc, an independent record label with distribution through Warner Bros and ADA. The label signed over 25 acts that toured worldwide. He successfully sold the company in 2003.
Beckerman currently resides in The Woodlands Texas.
